Coming to America





Well well well. I'm finally leaving the home turf and heading out on a journey abroad. It's only taken 19 years. I'm also jumping straight into the deep end with my first holiday on my own, my first holiday abroad and to top it off, I'm off to America :D Many many many many many many many (i'll stop there before I bore you all) thanks to :iconbloodymoondragon: for offering to help me find my way in my two weeks in the states. However this also means about £1.8K savings which means all work and no play for me. So updates and photos may be sparse.




RANT IMMINENT




Yes people are campaigning to make dA less like myface and bebook but hey, I'm still gonna have a rant about something.

Have you ever had this before? You stand up for a person/idea/cause because you feel it is being unfairly criticised only for the critic to immediately associate you with that person/idea/cause?

I'll put it into context. Only recently I found a deviation that depicted a "furry" uncle sam (Furry in the sense of an animal with human features) and smiled. I consider myself a person who enjoys furry art (not 18+ stuff before you start) and I went to make a comment when I noticed that some goon had posted a comment like "OMG why would you post this crap on dA? It's shit furry porn and I hate it" I decided to reply to him "Y'know, if you don't like it you shouldn't look at it". His response on the matter was "Your obviously an autistic fagshitretard who loves furry porn why don't you all just go die". I stood up for the rights of myself as a bit of a furry and the rights of other..."hardcore" furries and this tool automatically tars everyone with the same fucking brush. Whatever happened to the days when people could at least have intersting arguments without accusing you of being associated with something. I hate people who use gay as a synonym for stupid. I constantly remind people not to do it in a very polite way only to be met with "Shut up you puff" or similar. I sound like an old man nattering about a bygone era but seriously, where is our world when people cannot voice oppinions opposing the norm without being cut down by petty people with only "Because it isn't normal" as an argument?

It's a shame really
